School will be different next fall to keep our students, staff and community safe during the pandemic. We are following state guidelines for reopening school with safety measures to prevent the spread of coronavirus. If public health guidance changes and we are not able to safely open schools for in-person instruction, these options will be modified.
For the 2020-21 school year, families have two options to choose from for students in grades K through 12.*
A hybrid model with two days a week in school and three days in distance learning for most students. (Pre-K, kindergarten students and some students with special needs may have up to four days in school.) Click through to see what a student’s schedule would look like and get more information about safety measures.
Highline Virtual Academy, an all-online model supported by Highline teachers.
To plan appropriately, we are asking you to tell us which option you are likely to select, based on what you know today. You will be asked to make a final selection in August.
If you have children in two or more schools, please complete a survey for each school a child in your family attends. The survey will close July 26.
