Meals for Students During School Closure

Starting Monday, March 16 we will distribute meals to students at several of our schools. Meals are free to every Highline student. Registration is not required. There are no forms to fill out and no names are written down. See a list of locations.

We have been working hard to keep up with changing circumstances and shifting guidance from our state leaders about educating students during the current public health crisis. Based on the latest guidance from the state, we have built a plan to continue instruction to the extent possible.

High Schools to Stick With 6-Period Schedule

High school students and teachers will continue to use a 6-period schedule for the foreseeable future, rather than switching to a 5-period trimester system. Here's why....

Times of crisis, particularly when people are in close quarters, can lead to an increase in domestic abuse. Resources are available 24/7, and domestic violence programs across our state are working tirelessly to help people plan for their safety. You are not alone. Help is a call or chat away.

To reflect state and county guidelines, we are closing the use of play toys and sport courts. Fields and tracks that are usually open, will remain open for walking and non-team activities with your family. Observe at all times the minimum recommended social distancing of six feet from other people.
